For over 20 years Deacon Dave Galvin, a permanent deacon at Saint James the Greater Catholic Church, has built a community centered on putting his faith in action through work with the marginalized and anyone in need. He supports many parish initiatives which serve Charles Town, WV and surrounding communities such as St. Simon of Cyrene Trucking which has distributed four million pounds of food throughout West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. During the height of the pandemic, he helped start the St. Isidore Farmers Market. Deacon Dave is excited to offer his past experience and leadership abilities to help Community Markets Inc. serve food insecure families in West Virginia.
