Maria Resendiz, AmeriCorps VISTA Fundraising Specialist at Community Markets Inc., is currently serving an AmeriCorps term of service. Born and raised in the region, Maria has lived in the Eastern Panhandle of WV for over two decades and knows the community well. She is passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to healthy, locally sourced food, firmly believing that food is an essential need within the community. With a degree in Professional Writing, Maria uses her skills to communicate effectively and hopes to raise vital funds for the mission of Community Markets Inc. Her experience volunteering at Jefferson County Community Ministries (JCCM) has deepened her understanding of local needs and strengthened her commitment to helping families. In her role, Maria is dedicated to promoting sustainability in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and looks forward to a sustainable future for her community.
